Cowboys Have More Than $7M In Cap Room
The Cowboys may be done making moves this offseason, but that isn't because they don't have any cap space remaining.
Dallas has $7.18 million in cap space at the moment, according to figures released by Pro Football Talk.
That number factors in the $5 million penalty the team incurred a few months ago for operating outside of the "spirit of the rules" when giving Miles Austin a front-loaded deal during the uncapped 2010 season.
Ruling On Brees' Franchise Tag Expected Soon
Drew Brees should know within a week if he'll collect nearly $4 million more than the NFL says he's due if he's franchise-tagged for a third time in 2013.
The Saints quarterback, who was represented by the NFL Players Association, had an hour-long grievance hearing before arbitrator Stephen Burbank on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
The hearing was to gain clarity on the interpretation of franchise-tag rules and the contract's total value, and Burbank said he'd rule on the issue within a week, according to a league source.
Raiders Targeting Cedric Benson
Cedric Benson is still on Oakland's radar, according to a report.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has suggested that the Raiders could float an offer to Benson just before training camp, or soon after it opens.
Report: Weeden Holding Out For Fourth Guaranteed Year
Brandon Weeden is holding out for a fourth guaranteed year on his rookie contract, according to league sources.
The Browns drafted the quarterback with the No. 22 pick in April.

Forte Coy On Reporting To Bears
Asked about his contract situation with the Bears on Friday, Matt Forte admitted that he'll likely be playing for the team in 2012.
"I don't think I really have a choice, do I?" he said. "Yeah, I'll be here."
Most believe he'll be in training camp, but the exact date he'll report remains to be seen.
It's going to be a fun season," he said.
If the running back signs the franchise tender, Forte will make $7.749 million this season. Forte and the Bears have until July 16 to agree on a multiyear deal.
Report: Shiancoe Turned Down Seahawks
Visanthe Shiancoe rejected a one-year, $1.2 million offer from the Seahawks earlier this offseason, according to a report.
Shiancoe visited Seattle on March 19, well before they acquired Kellen Winslow.
Might McNabb Fit With Cardinals?
Donovan McNabb says he's about 80 to 90 percent sure he'll play next season and speculation regarding potential suitors has increased.
The Cardinals are believed to be a potential fit for McNabb as Kevin Kolb hasn't grabbed a permanent hold of the starting quarterback job.
However, Arizona has had plenty of chances to sign McNabb before and the team has never been interested.

The quarterback said he's most interested in teams with a "solid running game, weapons on the outside, a defense that's been playing well and playing well together, and that's ready to win right now."
"I do want to play," he told "NBC SportsTalk" on Thursday. "The most important thing is I have about three teams I'm looking at. ... We won't name those three teams."

Drew Brees remains in limbo as the Saints approach training camp.
As we have heard for months, the quarterback said Tuesday he's "confident" a long-term contract will be worked out with the team.
"I would never sit out a football season," Brees said added.
"I love this game too much, I love my team too much, but obviously there's a lot that can happen between now and then, so let's just hope we can get a long-term deal done ... Over the last month, (talks have) picked up. There was a dry spell there for a bit."
